I had heard this phrase many times in my life from many well spoken, well meaning preachers, but it never became a revelation to me until I was well into my adult years.
I was working with a friend on a project and we were discussing some frustrations that we were both facing. I voiced my dismay with the situation and also how I would propose to “fix” it. Then, I looked at my friend and waited for his agreement with my dismay and frustration.
These were his words… “I don’t claim to know a whole lot, brother, but I do know this… God’s got a plan.”
Many times, we get so wrapped up in our circumstances and trying to figure out how to make them all work, that we forget that we serve a God who has already figured it all out.
Jeremiah 29:11 reassures us with these words: “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
Even when we can’t see the evidence of His working on our behalf, He is causing “all things to work together for our good.”
Be encouraged today… God’s Got A Plan!
