Ok folks. Hope you are having a great weekend.
This week I performed an experiment. I posted two different questions on this blog. The first was asking you to finish the sentence : “A leader MUST _________________.” The second was asking you to finish the sentence: “A leader MUST NOT ____________________.”
I wanted to see which one would get the most response, and I must say, my expectation was completely proven correct.
The responses overwhelmingly came in on the side of the statement “A leader MUST NOT _____________.” And they were mostly negative in their nature such as …must not control, be arrogant, think he knows more than he does, etc.
I thought this would be the case, but I want to hear you thoughts on the subject.
Why do you think this was the case? Could it be because so many have been hurt by leaders? Could it be that we expect our leaders to be something they cannot be? Could it be that we are holding on things we should have let go of such as bitterness, unforgiveness, past hurts, disappointments, etc? Or could it be all of the above?
I’m really not trying to stir anything up here. I just want to know what you think???
Let’s talk!!!
