Sitting in the waiting area of the surgical center this morning. Our granddaughter, Bliss is having her tonsils removed. She’s had a lot of trouble with ear infections and throat problems.
Have you ever felt like, even though everything on the outside was working just fine, something on the inside was holding you back? Something internally was just not right?
Maybe it’s time to “cut it out!”
Like our human bodies, sometimes, things in our spiritual bodies begin to work against us and keep us from being all we could be in Christ.
Hebrew 12:1 reminds us to “… throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with endurance the race that has been laid out for us…”
What’s holding you back? What is it that, even though everything looks good on the outside, keeps you from being all you could be?
Cut It Out!

I had heard this phrase many times in my life from many well spoken, well meaning preachers, but it never became a revelation to me until I was well into my adult years.
I was working with a friend on a project and we were discussing some frustrations that we were both facing. I voiced my dismay with the situation and also how I would propose to “fix” it. Then, I looked at my friend and waited for his agreement with my dismay and frustration.
These were his words… “I don’t claim to know a whole lot, brother, but I do know this… God’s got a plan.”
Many times, we get so wrapped up in our circumstances and trying to figure out how to make them all work, that we forget that we serve a God who has already figured it all out.
Jeremiah 29:11 reassures us with these words: “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
Even when we can’t see the evidence of His working on our behalf, He is causing “all things to work together for our good.”
Be encouraged today… God’s Got A Plan!
